The ISFSI is a member organization that draws on the talents and skills of its membership and there are a variety of ways to become involved in the organizational mission. Our committees focus on the administration of the organization, instructor professional development, improved firefighter safety and research into the future fire suppression techniques. We also focus on representing our members in the political arena on the state and national level. Nominations & Elections
Responsible for the official election process as described in the bylaws of the organization. Establishes schedule of elections and secures nominations. Chair delivers elections results at the annual membership meeting. Contact the Committee Chair for more information.

Audit & Finance
Responsible for financial oversight of the organization. Suggests business practices and policy to the board of directors. Oversees audit practices as described in the bylaws and as directed by the board. Contact the Committee Chair for more information.

Membership Task Force
Responsible for enhancing member benefits and serves as a liaison with state chapters and partner organizations. Contact the Committee Chair for more information.

Accreditation Committee
Responsible for the development and management of the ISFSI Training Accreditation Program. Serves as liaison with the Accreditation Panel and provides oversight for future programs such as the Live Fire Instructor, Master Instructor, and Fire Academy Credentials. Training & Instructor Development
Responsible for developing instructor development content designed to enhance fire service instruction and improve educational delivery practices. Contact the Committee Chair for more information.

Publications Committee
Responsible for developing ISFSI training products and developing ISFSI members for publication in national and international fire service publications. Major projects include the ISFSI Certification Test Bank and article development for Fire Engineering Magazine and the ISFSI website. Contact the Committee Chair for more information.

Communications
Responsible for delivery of all ISFSI external communications. This includes production of the ISFSI Podcast, The Voice, working with other committees to delivery content such as webcasts, etc. Also provides oversight for the ISFSI website and regular newsletters. FDIC Committee
