Ryan Allison serves as a Captain and Training Officer with the Danville Fire Department in Illinois. He is responsible for developing and delivering firefighter training that emphasizes realistic, hands-on experience, critical thinking, and operational readiness. His goal is to prepare firefighters to perform with confidence when lives depend on their decisions.
Ryan believes the best firefighters and instructors are never satisfied with where they are today. He bases his approach to leadership and training on grit, hard work, accountability, and continuous growth. He is committed to challenging himself and those around him to improve every day while building a culture where high standards, professionalism, and learning are expected.
Ryan holds an Associate of Applied Science in Fire Science and continues to pursue professional development through formal education, instructor development, and fire service leadership. As a member of the International Society of Fire Service Instructors, he is dedicated to advancing the fire service by learning from others, sharing knowledge, and helping develop the next generation of firefighters and company officers.
