My name is Tony Ambrosia. I am a Captain/Paramedic with the City of Scottsdale Fire Department. I have 29 years in the Fire Service. I just finished a 4-year run as a Training Captain in the training division. I hold a bachelor’s degree from Columbia Southern. I am the Region 1 Director of the International Society of Fire Service Instructors (IFSFI).
Both my parents were lifelong learners and instructors. I continue to be a lifelong learner and enjoy passing my knowledge, education, experience to all members of the fire service. Since being associated with the ISFSI I have been able to meet the greatest fire service instructors in the US and Canada. Being a part of the ISFSI team has made me become a better instructor as well as a better firefighter. I believe that as leaders in the fire service it is our duty to mentor, share, and teach the future of the fire service. Part of leading is being able to share ideas, documents, training plans, drills, experience and knowledge with all who ask.
I am a certified NFPA1403 instructor, State of Arizona certified fire instructor evaluator. FF I and FF II certified. I have been a Paramedic for 28 years and I am a Haz Mat Technician, ARFF 139 certified, Fire Ground Survival TTT certified.
