Bio

Service includes over forty years of experience in emergency preparedness, disaster management, and emergency responses. I remain a committed, loyal, and decorated public servant to the Commonwealth of Kentucky, Kenton County, and the Northern Kentucky / Greater Cincinnati Region.  Currently serving as a Deputy Director for Kenton County Homeland Security Emergency Management and is a Sworn Special Deputy for the Kenton County Sheriff’s Office. A retired Assistant Fire Chief with the Erlanger Fire Department after 27 Years of Service. Participated and served as Emergency Operations Center Floor Manager/Team Lead, On-Scene Incident Commander, and in Multiple other capacities during numerous SEAR III, multijurisdictional, multiagency, multidisciplinary, mass gatherings, and complex events/incidents, including specialized and technical rescue operations and responses that occurred in Kenton County/Northern Kentucky.  Currently serves as a Senior State Fire Rescue Adjunct Instructor with the Kentucky Fire Commission District 7 and Gateway Community and Technical College (24+ years) and an Approved Kentucky Emergency Management Instructor. 

Presently serves as one of seven command staff/team leads for the Kentucky Incident Management Team.  Co-author and instructor of Kentucky’s Type 4/5 All-Hazards Incident Management Team Course.  Serves as the chair for the Area Maritime Security Committee Sector Ohio Valley ~ Port of Cincinnati and the Northern Kentucky Hospital Preparedness Coalition.  Routinely serves as an exercise design writer and evaluator for the homeland security exercise design and evaluation platform for drills, tabletop exercises, seminars, functional and full-scale exercises to ensure communication, collaboration and coordination among response organizations, government organizations and non-government organizations to promote preparedness, response, recovery and mitigation practices. Additionally, holds Kentucky Certifications as a Firefighter, Instructor, Inspector, Emergency Medical Technician, Kentucky Emergency Management Instructor and Approved Emergency Manager.
